  • It is important that anyone taking part in this program is already in a senior leadership role.

    What format does the program follow?

    The program comprises five units over a single calendar year.  Completing the ILMP will develop your leadership capacity through a blended learning approach that includes residential, online and experiential learning.

    Module 1: Preparational Learning (2 days)

  • Overview of the program
  • Focused, structured reading on leadership and management (provided for each participant)
  • Audit – the impact of your leadership journey so far
  • Initial plan for your Personal Leadership Project
  • Module 2: Residential Learning (4.5 days)

  • Connecting with your leadership coach and online collaborative group
  • Reflecting on current research and the impact that leadership can have on improving learning
  • Collaborating on structures and systems that have impacted on learning
  • Leadership, innovation and the change process
  • Creating a culture of trust and collaborative professionalism
  • Using evidence about learning to inform leadership practice
  • Exploring effective coaching and mentoring with your colleagues
  • Module 3: Collaborative Online Learning (5 days)

  • Regular personalised and group support from your online leadership coach
  • A range of online collaborative learning opportunities including asyncronised discussions
  • Module 4 Personal Leadership Project (5 days)

  • Ongoing development of your Personal Leadership Project
  • A range of online collaborative learning opportunities including asyncronised discussions
  • Module 5 Residential Learning (3.5 days)

  • Presenting and reflecting on your Personal Leadership Project and its impact on improving learning
  • Providing strategic and sustained leadership for improving student learning
  • Maintaining a network of internationally minded leaders and considering the next steps for your leadership journey
