Leadership Conference focuses on Jim Collins Great By Choice
Whether you are an aspiring, new or experienced leader, or simply passionate about improving children’s learning, this year’s Leadership Conference presented by the IPC and IMYC will be a hugely valuable professional development event. It is being held in Dubai in January and will focus on Jim Collins’ highly successful book, Great by Choice. The conference will be held at the Jumeira Baccalaureate School in Dubai on 17th and 18th January 2013, and promises to be an exciting event providing you with lots of inspirational and practical ideas to take back to your school.
In 2007, we held our most successful leadership conference; using the principles of Jim Collins’ best selling work to help schools make the journey from Good to Great. In 2011, Jim Collins returned to the best-seller list with his latest ground breaking piece of work Great by Choice. Based on nine years of extensive research, his book not only examines performance, but places this in the context of the variety of unstable environments faced by leaders today. By doing this, he explains “why some organisations thrive in uncertainty and others do not”. During the forthcoming conference, we will consider the key leadership messages from Collins’ work and ask ‘what does this mean for school leaders? The 2013 leadership conference will be brought to you by the Fieldwork Education professional development staff, as well as some highly experienced school leaders.
We would be delighted to see you there. If you’d like more information please see: http://schools.greatlearning.com/leadership-conference-2013/ or email Victoria who is coordinating the conference at victoria@greatlearning.com
