Leadership for Learning for Senior Leaders
The International Leadership and Management Program (ILMP) for Senior Leaders delivers the most learning-focused, transformational leadership training available to school leaders in the world.
The part–time program consists of five units totalling a minimum of 20 days over a single calendar year which can be completed whilst continuing a full time school leadership role. The units include two short residentials, a school–based personal leadership project (addressing a current learning–focused need within your own school), e–tutoring, asynchronised discussions and personal research.

The ILMP is personal professional development for any senior leader including school directors, principals, associate principals, headteachers, deputy heads, curriculum directors, admission officers and leaders of learning.

- Provide confident and strategic leadership for learning in your school
- Know and be able to practise the skills of distributed leadership in order to lead a sustainable, learning-focused school
- Foster a culture of informed professionalism amongst your staff
- Establish a professional community of collaboration and critical reflection through learning-focused dialogue
- Inspire a collective passion for learning throughout your entire school community (staff, students, governors and parents)
- Consistently question and reflect upon yourself as a learning-focused leader
- Contribute to and gain from a cohort of like-minded school leaders from all over the world, sharing common leadership themes through diverse contexts
- Feel increasingly confident in your roles as leader, coach and mentor with your senior and middle leadership teams
- Feel increasingly confident in your role as school leader with staff, students, parents, volunteers, governors and all school stakeholders
