Engineering student at Cambridge University says the International Primary Curriculum inspired him
Keno Mario-Ghae, an engineering student at Cambridge University in the UK, who took part in the cross-Australia solar-powered car challenge says it was his primary learning that created the inspiration.
Keno was a primary student in Warri, Nigeria where he learnt with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). “We were taught in a way to inspire our curiosity and make us want to find out more for ourselves,” he says. You can read more about Keno’s experiences in this feature: http://www.shell.com/global/future-energy/innovation/inspiring-stories/learning-inspires-young-minds.html
Unfortunately the Cambridge team’s attempts at the World Solar Challenge ended in disappointment as you can read here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-24419452 But new challenges are currently being planned so watch this space. Good luck Keno and your team from everyone at IPC!
