IMYC Professional Learning
Fieldwork Education offers a range of Professional Learning in the form of face to face, online and blended courses. You can choose from requesting PL in your own school (members only), or learning alongside colleagues from other schools at a regional event or in an online course.

Delivery Options for Professional Learning
|Online Courses||Join a global cohort of teachers and one of our experienced trainers will facilitate your learning over 3 weeks (expected time commitment around 3 hours per week at times to suit you).||Cost effective, start dates throughout the year, learning sustained and reinforced over time||£250 per participant (£350 for the Leading with IPC course)|
|Regional Face to Face Courses||Engage with other teachers from your region with several courses running at once over 2 days||Gain a mix of perspectives from colleagues from a variety of schools in your own region||£400 per participant (£550 for the Leading the IPC course)|
|In School Courses (members only)||Learn alongside your immediate colleagues in your own school environment over 2 days.||No need to travel. Dates to suit your school. The course can respond to your school’s particular needs.||£1800 per school*|
|Blended Courses (members only)||Learn alongside your immediate colleagues in your own school environment over 1 full day with webinars in after-school sessions||No need to travel. Dates to suit your school. The course can respond to your school’s particular needs. You have the opportunity to put some of your learning into practice and further reflect on it with your trainer in the webinars.||£1200 per school*|
Courses Available and Registration
|Getting to grips with IMYC||Beginning||This course is perfect for schools or teachers who are at the beginning stages of their implementation of the IMYC. It will guide you through the philosophy (including the needs of the adolescent brain), pedagogy and process of the IMYC, allowing plenty of time to explore examples of IMYC learning from IMYC schools around the world, and ensuring you are confident to plan for your subject and for the IMYC units for the whole year around IMYC process of learning.|
|Improving Learning with the IMYC||Developing||This course is ideal for teachers and leaders who are confident with their implementation of the IMYC, and now want to dig deeper into improving the students’ learning though the IMYC. The course links closely to the ‘Bottom Line Nine’ principles as described in the Self-Review document and how they form the foundation for successful IMYC implementation in your school. Basic knowledge on the IMYC will be presumed, but principles and practice are explored in much greater depth.|
