IMYC Attracts packed Audience At ECIS Conference
Sabine Keeley and Alison Lipp who both lead the IMYC in their schools, spoke about their very positive experiences introducing the IMYC to their students.
Sabine Keeley told the delegates:
“My 12th Grade daughter is doing IB and I found that when she was planning for her project for international assessment, no one was telling her how to do it. She kept asking me what to do. It was the same question that I was hearing from my 6th and 7th Graders when it came to their first IMYC media project: ‘I don’t know what to do’. I suddenly could see they were dealing with the same challenge.
I’m confident that over the next three years, as a result of learning with the IMYC, my 6th and 7th Graders will build the skills to find the project that interests them and learn how to take control of it confidently themselves so that they don’t need to be spoon-fed by teachers, which will prepare them well for the same need in their IB work.”
